Summer & Winter Workshop

Our annual summer and winter workshops in the US gives students the unique opportunity to receive one (Winter Workshop) and two weeks (Summer Workshop) intensive training with excellent Christian artists. Our faculty generally includes Master Teachers Theo & Jolie Williams and other associated teachers. The workshop is open for students of any level wishing to develop their skills in mime (drama and dance are occasionally offered) and a biblical foundation for the arts. Additionally we offer electives in dance, drama, fencing, masks and make-up, and other subjects. We are also happy to welcome juniors aged 10-16 who wish to develop their skills in the performing arts; however we do ask that they are supervised by an adult.

In January, Mimeistry International holds its annual Regional Workshop for one week in Pasadena, California (US). Our Studios are located on the William Carey International University Campus, nestled at the foot of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in Pasadena, California. During the week the workshop attendees will receive intensive training with our own faculty as well as any teacher associated with the International Worship Symposium. The workshop ends with the commencement of the International Worship Symposium. During the Symposium the workshop attendees will have the choice of over a 100 classes, electives & hands-on workshops. We usually end the Symposium on the Saturday evening Worship Celebration with a mime number which will include all the workshop attendees and the Mimeistry School.

Every summer since 1988, our annual International Summer Mime Workshop has been a gathering place for 2 weeks of rigorous technique, spiritual growth and fellowship for students from diverse backgrounds. These workshops are for beginners as well as advanced students, and are generally one of the first steps into Mimeistry’s Achievement Program (MAP).

For training outside the US, each Easter, our annual International Workshop in Mime, Dance and Drama in England, continues to attract students from all over the U.K., as well as Europe. Continuing for over fourteen years, Mimeistry Europe holds workshops in Mime, Dance and Drama each year at various centers around Europe, as well as touring.  Each year we carry out workshops in England, France, and Belgium, with others in the Netherlands and Switzerland still under consideration.
