The assignments are designed to give a set of obtainable goals and a standard of excellence with which a student can chart his or her progress. The student who decides to join the MAP through correspondence needs to be self motivated and disciplined. Students within the correspondence program are not given a specific time limit for the completion of assignments and/or the fulfillment of requirements. It can be done over a few years, or over a lifetime. The average is between 3-10 years.
The best way for you to get started is to pick one requirement within your level of achievement, i.e. starting at Apprenticeship, and to tackle it. The materials you will need to complete the program should be purchased as you need them. All of the course materials are available through Mimeistry Mail Order, except for the tests and workbooks. Test and workbook information may be obtained through our office.
In general, The Guide to the Achievement Program for Mime is most frequently used by students completing their study program via correspondence. Students will usually receive this booklet following the completion of their registration form (or you could simply download it). There is a one-time registration fee of $35.00 (subject to change). Registration will also place a student on our mailing list for MAP and create a student record that will automatically be updated when he or she completes each requirement.
This allows the student to focus on their development within a community of other young artists. We believe that our community (the Mimeistry Guild) can encourage and support our members through its system of training to become confident educators and artistic thinkers, who will teach, proclaim, direct, and lead the field with surety, confidence, and quality.
If you are interested in our correspondence program, please download the related material and send us your registration. Also you could contact us directly or e-mail us at map@mimeistry.com, or e-mail Chantal van Bruggen at map-europe@hetnet.nl, if you are in Europe.
